HOW DO I RENT MY SUP?
You can easily book online and pay via Pay pal / Credit card.
Please call me on 0783 437 2763, if you need to hire more boards.
Website is set to 2 boards daily for 1 day rental and 4 boards daily for 1 hour rental Apsley, more sups maybe available on the day, but please double check with me first. Pick up from A1 SUP Hire: 24 kingfisher drive, Hemel Hempstead HP3 9DD.
DO I NEED A LICENCE?
You are automatically covered by our insurance and water licence when you have a lesson with an A1 SUP Hire instructor.
When you hire a sup from A1 Sup Hire you are covered by our water license.
Anybody paddling with you on their own board would need a licence. You can obtain it from this link: https://www.britishcanoeing.org.uk/membership/on-the-water-membership
WHERE DO I LAUNCH MY SUP FROM?
Apsley: There is free parking at Swan mead HP3 9DQ. You'll launch from the gate.
Kings Langley: Free parking at Red Lion Lane HP3 9TE. Paddle towards Kings Langley.
River Thames drive to SL8 5PS. Free large car park as you pass Spade Oak Pub (perfect for lunch), cross railway bridge to launch sup.
IS PADDLE BOARDING SAFE?
Yes, however like all water based activities common sense is needed and we do not recommend the use of our equipment under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Children should be supervised at all times. We strongly recommend that you wear a life jacket and they are included free with your lesson & hire.

DO YOU OFFER GIFT CARDS?

WILL I GET WET?
Not necessarily! But likely! Canal water is warm! With a good technique and on calm waters you should stay dry.
Always wear appropriate clothing and have a dry set at the end of your trip.
ARE YOUR BOARDS GOOD FOR CHILDREN?
Yes, they are stable and lightweight. Ideal Age from 8 years.
We always recommend that children wear life jackets and are supervised by a capable adult at ALL times on the water.
CAN I CANCEL MY BOOKING?
Yes, you can, If the Customer gives 24 hour notice before the booking date, booking will be re-scheduled or a full refund will be given.
WHAT IS YOUR POLICY FOR DAMAGED PRODUCTS?
The customer is responsible for the replacement value of the equipment if lost or the cost of repair if damaged. Costs are: Board £270, Bag £10, Paddle £60, Pump £12, leash £10, Phone Pouch £8.
In the event of damage or theft of the Equipment, the Customer will have to pay an insurance excess of up to three hundred pounds (£300) per event.
WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE?
WE DO NOT PROVIDE PUBLIC OR THIRD PARTY LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR OUR REMOTE SUP HIRE!
Customers should check with their own home or travel policy before hiring.
